Frank Broadhurst, born March 30th, 1925, passed away on Dec. 11th, 2005. He is deeply missed by
all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a great friend, loving
husband, and the best dad a guy or gal could hope for.

A native of North Carolina, Frank Broadhurst was schooled in art at
Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. This was
followed by thirty years in the advertising business with a major national agency,
McCann Erickson. Starting out doing storyboards in NYC, he became art
director and producer, eventually ending up in Atlanta as VP in charge
of the Coca-Cola account.
He retired to paint full time in 1981 and resided in Atlanta,
Georgia from then on. His works appear in both private and corporate collections.
He's a past president and signature member of the
Georgia Watercolor
Society, and had been a teacher at the
Spruill Art Center. He did commissioned pieces as well as teaching
a handful of private lessons. You never knew when a good friend would stop by for a few painting
tips. Many of his students became good friends.

Frank along with his wife and co-pilot Peggy
made numerous road trips, shooting color slides along the way. Frank is
seen here posing casually with his brand new Chevy Beauville van that would take
them so many places, and relaxing with Peggy and a cup of coffee.

They've
been to the Oregon coast, the Louisiana bayou, and the coast of Maine to
name a few. These outings were a great source of subject
material for his paintings, as well as the occasional unexpected
adventure.
